ABOUT AARON
Aaron K. Crocker grew up in a small town in southern Missouri and moved to the East Coast in 2007 where he finished an A.A.S in general studies from Germanna and a Certificate of Education, both with honors. Aaron also holds a B.S. in English, Linguistics, and Communications from University of Mary Washington.
In 2016, Aaron won his first literature contest with “Suburban Suicide”, from there he would go on to win multiple international as well as national writing awards particularly for short story and micro-fiction writing. He has sat as a judge on international flash fiction contests including “The CN Pens of Roses Competition” and has spoken on numerous horror/sci-fi/fantasy author panels including a 2020 address to the Library of Congress on the horror genre.
Aaron is the author of “Synchronicity”, its sequel “Menoetius”, and “Forbidden” as well as compiling and publishing “Cocky-Tales” and “Rejected”–both fundraising anthologies that collectively raised over $250 for non-profit organizations. He has also been traditionally published in various poem and short story anthologies.
In addition to writing, Aaron has appeared on networks including Netflix, TruTv, the History Channel, Reelz, and, Investigation Discovery. Despite this, he enjoys writing and directing and as a result launched 669 Productions–a subsidiary of Aaron K. Crocker LLC–in 2021. The company’s main focus is utilizing the horror genre to create films that walk the line between the horrors of reality and the supernatural while challenging the norms by writing non-traditional characters in roles they would not normally be seen in.
As a survivor of childhood abuse as well as marital violence, Aaron founded When She Walked Away, an organization that places direct focus on helping victims and survivors of domestic violence heal through creative arts and expression.
